Climate change: Environmental Photographer of the Year commendation

Environmental Photographer of the Year, Solar Energy Versus Fossil Fuel, Dave Walsh

I’m very, very pleased. Ecstatic! “Solar Energy Versus Fossil Fuel” has received a “Highly Commended” in the “Changing Climates” category at the 2009 Environmental Photographer of the Year competition.

My photograph, along with the other winners, has been featured on The Guardian website and The Daily Telegraph and The Independent, and will be on exhibition for the next 12 months around Britain and Ireland.

Update: October 9th, 2009:
Here’s a picture my friend Adele took of me last night at the awards ceremony in Covent Garden, London. The exhibition is on at 3 Bedfordbury Gallery, London WC2N 4BP, until October 18th.

  1. Cool! I love this photo and your description of it is spot on, the way the people are walking towards doom or salvation. A belated congratulations (only saw this now…) J
